Awards and Addictions

I want to thank my friend over at Mud Ranch for this great award!! I've seen it floating around and am very honored to receive it.

Along with this blog award comes the responsibility to list five things I’m addicted to. Responsibility?? I'm not sure I'm cut out for this task! I don't even have a lot of addictions. Well that is not entirely true. Perhaps I just prefer to call them interests? Or hobbies?
So here goes:

1. Horses! Is that too obvious of an answer?

2. Blogging! Ditto- too obvious?

3. Western movies! Anything about cowboys or the pioneer days.....I'm down for the count (on the couch, that is!)

4. Bling-bling crosses and brown and white zebra print!

5. Haircare products! I always have something new to sample in my shower.

I also want to thank my punchy and stylish friend Meg over at Lucchese to Louis Vuitton for this beautiful Butterfly Award, too!!

I'm not going to pass either of these on because I am a rule breaker that way. Actually, I just think most people have received them by now and I have the hardest time just picking five bloggers! Really, please know that I think you are all fabulous and are as lovely and artistic as butterflies! Oh, and just so I know I'm not the only one with a weird addiction like haircare products out there, please share at least one of your addictions with us now!

Tomorrow is Friday, everyone. Yee-haw!

  1. Currently I am addicted to Burt's Bees lip shimmers. I have about 5 of them in my purse in different shades. (I don't do lipstick, so these are as close as I get -- sort of a cross between lipstick and chapstick).

  2. I'm addicted to Pirates of the Caribbean lately. I put it on for background noise when I'm in the house. I quote parts of it that catch my ears... and have to glance up when I know a scene is coming where Johnnie Depp and Orlando Bloom will be looking exceptionally sexy.

The only horse I notice in those movies jumps off a boat! I look up for that part too. :-)

  3. Addictions- big sparkly earrings, any jewelry with a horseshoe on it, retro cowgirl (or cowboy) stuff, lipstick (and gloss- Heart of a Cowgirl I will be getting some Burt's Bees shimmer today, haven't tried it), addicted to funny tv shows (there is too much depressing out there on the news, I love a good comedy- the Office, Arrested Development (should never have been cancelled) and SNL to name a few. I am totally addicted to my new horse, Zippy.

I need to get addicted to my own blog, I have about 6 posts in edit mode, not yet published :P

I love your blog, pony girl....

  4. I love really woodsy-smelling body washes and lotions. Eucalyptus, pine, cedar - those kinds of smells.

Addictions?? Don't even get me started...lol!!!

  7. Well...none of us need to list horses, that's a given. I am addicted to my grand babies and kitten's! Then there is the "bling". But only if it is really special and speaks to me about who I am and what I do. Then yes...I go crazy and get in in all 4 colors! Congrats on your awards!

Addictions hmmm??? Aside from horses, I am addicted to photography. I love taking pictures, editing pictures, and looking at others pictures. I ALWAYS have my camera on hand.

  10. I'm addicted to unusual horse art or items--if I had the extra money (barn projects take all of my $$$) then I'd buy a lot. I guess I'm also addicted to barn projects. Ha ha. I could really go wild with panels. I could also be a horse hoarder if I didn't care so much about the ones I already have. More horses would mean less time with them and less $$$ for them. But every time I see a horse baby--it's tough to say no. I found a blog from a woman who contracts to manage Mustangs for the BLM on her huge cattle ranch. I would like to be her in my next life--or Madeline Pickens.
