My birthday was a treat. Thank you all, for your sweet, sweet messages!
I got hugs and cards from the kids at school, phone and Facebook messages from friends and family, and even a birthday blog post (thanks mom!)
I got hugs and cards from the kids at school, phone and Facebook messages from friends and family, and even a birthday blog post (thanks mom!)
I also got chocolates.
And roses.
My friend gave me framed art, of sepia-toned western scenes.
My co-workers gave me an Amazon.com gift card! Oh, what shall I buy?
I went out to dinner with my dearest and oldest friend and we had pizza and root beer.
I got this award from my friend Meg over at Lucchese to Louis Vuitton.
I got the cutest horsey card from my cousin.
And this is her thoughtful message inside:
I highlighted the "kisses from your pony."
I didn't quite get kisses. Rather, I got the tongue.
But I did get to see my pony. Despite a lot of wind and some rain and a fairly cranky pony, the farrier came and My Boy got his shoe on.
My birthday has been the highlight of my week, and I still have celebrating to do this weekend, yeehaw!
So far, what has been the highlight of YOUR week?
Glad you had a great B-Day Pony Girl! Wishing I could be with you on your special day!
ReplyDeleteLove you, Mom
The highlight of my week...kicking some a** at volleyball tonight with my dad, fo sho!
ReplyDeleteMy highlight was getting a text from my farrier that said he'd be here on Saturday lol
ReplyDeleteSounds just about perfect!
ReplyDeleteI caught all green lights on the way home from work this week. That tells you what kind of week it has been.
I am not even going to go there. My week has not been good. My only highlight is I have this weekend off and am looking forward to the 2 hockey games I get to go to and a few beers! Oh and spending time with my cowboy and hopefully my horses if the weather cooperates. Snow now, rain later :(
ReplyDeleteOh, and the most important thing I forgot about, I am soooo happy you had a good Birthday week! You deserve it! Love ya Sis!
ReplyDeleteI hope the best part of my week is on it's way...cause so far it could stand some improvement! Glad you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fabulous birthday to me...especially the chocolates :)
ReplyDeleteMine was the other day as well...and my son's is this week. February is a great month for birthdays!
Glad your birthday was a good one.
ReplyDeleteSo far, the highlight of my week was a visit from Heather and Nita to help me assess and resolve a tack problem, which I will post about soon.
And Paint Girl, where's the pix of you pony in your prize bridle? Hope it fits.
Happy Belated Birthday! Looks like you had a wonderful day - hope this year is full of magic for you. My highlight? I shopped victoriously on e-bay and won a big plastic deer head.
ReplyDeleteHey Pony Girl,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a wonderful bash for your birthday! It's nice to be remembered by so many on your special day. I have never seen that card before, fun! What a special mom you have!
My highlight has been getting out shopping after several days penned up from the flu! And taking more photos of course! Thanks for sharing your day!
Glad you had a nice day - it is nice when co-workers and friends remember your birthday!
ReplyDeleteWow, you were very spoiled on your birthday! As it should be :)
ReplyDeleteThe highlight of my week was meeting one of my rodeo heros at the Tucson Rodeo yesterday and getting a pic with him! (Jake Barnes - 7 time world champion team roper).
Glad you had a great day.
ReplyDeleteThe highlight of my week is coming...I get to go visit my blind horse and spend the day with him.
What a wonderful birthday! I am glad that you had a fabulous day! Count your blessings...
ReplyDelete=]
Oops. Happy belated birthday. Party on!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Sorry I'm late. Sounds like you had a wonderful day. Kisses from a pony are the best:)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got the Boy's shoe back on. Now you can ride again.
ReplyDeleteThe highlight of my week is probably the signs of Spring and being able to ride my horses. Its been a god-awful winter for riding around here because of the ice. I'm just so glad to see it all go. And maybe I can get my trailer out soon--once we gut the tractor unstuck from the MUD.
Glad you had a good birthday! And have fun this weekend! The highlight of my week was wednesday. I stayed home from work 'cause i wasn't feeling well, and I SLEPT IN! WHOHOO! I havent had a day off since January 17.... My birthday!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday
Nice gifts.
I left ya and friendship award too. Come by and see when you get a chance.
Hugs to you
The hilight would be today when I found out the cyst removed from my skull was benign. Great news for me!
ReplyDelete{TB}~ That is WAY better than amazon cards and pizza and rootbeer, any day! Good news!!! ;) -pg
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday. Sounds like you had a great day!!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutly right about feel and timing. It can take a life time to master. I was so amazed with Buck Brennamen when I rode with him. His whole presence had feel and timing.
I have been experimenting with my horses and students with a format that helps develope feel and timing. I will be writing about it in my next post. I would love your feedback. Christa Lynn
Happy belated birthday. Looks like you made out like a bandit!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great one. Looks like someone is very muched loved by all!
ReplyDeleteMy highlight hasn't came yet. We are bucking a bull in a competition on Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed he does well!
Glad you had a beaut day...
ReplyDeleteMy highlight? Hmmmm. Getting a morning to myself to get a mountain of ironing done while watching the Academy Awards (a rare thing on three counts there!). Or watching my kids play in the pool mostly without attempting to drown each other. Or having friends unexpectedly call by with car troubles and stay on for dinner.
Thanks for the chance to realise how blessed I am!! Have a great year...
:-)

Happy Belated Birthday!!! (tried to post earlier but it wouldn't let me for some reason! :-(
ReplyDeleteHere are a list of the movies you asked about with Tom Selleck:
Last Stand at Saber River, The Shadow Riders, The Sacketts, Crossfire Trail, Quigley Down Under,
Monte Walsh. Those are the western ones. I have them all except Quigley, but have watched it many, many times on TV. Will have to get it to add to my collection though. What a cowboy!!!! :-)
I think I have to agree with you, that the 24th was the highlight of my week!! Great birthday gifts, I love the chocolates, yum!! And Your Boy has the best pony tongue!! I love it!!
ReplyDeleteGlad another fellow Piscean had a great birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday!
