I know that the costs of horsekeeping are skyrocketing.
However, I didn't know that people had resorted to....deerkeeping?

Although, I suppose those yearling fawns could have futures as hunter/jumpers?
Aren't they the cutest babies!!!
ReplyDeleteHi there, yes they are adorable! I got an email yesterday that had a basset hound and tiny doe laying on the couch together....it had followed the dog through his doggie door and they were taking a nap! It was all over the news in the state of MD. I thought it was one of those emails that is forwarded and doctored up but it was a true story. Thank you for your nice comments on my blog. I don't paint much anymore (on walls anyway) and miss the creative outlet. If I get the whim, I just paint my own walls....which I'm gearing up to do whenever they fix the ongoing leak in our new roof! No sense in doing it until then. We're snowed in again so getting caught up on things around the house! Have a good simple Sunday!
ReplyDeleteToo cute!
ReplyDeleteAmazing how they can hop over anything like that.
ReplyDeleteOh and Tag
Yea, they could clear those fences in a single bound! Love the picture!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely UNCANNY... I have a post coming up about this VERY thing!!!
ReplyDeleteToo wild.

{BB}~ Can't wait to see what you have! I took this picture from the car. I couldn't resist. I wish I'd stood up outside the car to get above the fence line, but I was afraid I'd spook them! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhere I keep Echo, the deer often come into the fields in winter and eat all the horses' hay. You'd think they'd be scared of a big herd of horses, but no, the horses cower huddled in the corner while the happy little deer munch cheerfully through their hay!
ReplyDeleteOooo, I love it! Gorgeous deer:)
ReplyDeleteIf a body could STAY on one of those creatures!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! What i'd give to have scenery like that in my pastures!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteDid you take that picture at my neighbors house? The one down the road? He always has deer there. He had 3 taking a nap in the field today.
ReplyDeleteWe always have deer in our yard too but you must never see them.
You probably could have gotten out of the car, they aren't too spooky here not unless you walked right up to them.
LOL!!! What a great picture!
ReplyDelete...And the cool thing about deer keeping is when they run out of grass in one pasture, they can place themselves in another...teeheehee!!!
I love your deer shot. They have such an amazing ability to jump anything.
