Ask Pony Girl?

I saw on her recent post that Canterbalance is having Blogger's Block. I couldn't believe it.

So am I.

During the holidays, I had so much extra time to post and so much to write about. Then, the middle of this week, I drew a blank. Now that I'm back to work, I'm doing nothing but working. And I'm fighting a cold virus so I'm really doing nothing. Except watching season one of Gilmore Girls on DVD, which I absolutely love.

I want to move to Stars Hollow.

Anyway- moving on. I need some inspiration. Yet it is dark when I leave for work (really dark.) And dark when I get home from work. I can only hope to feel well enough to see My Boy this weekend.

So I have an idea. I have seen those "Ask Me" posts where Bloggers ask readers if they have any questions. Kind of like an interview. I always love asking the questions and reading the answers. You always learn a little more about someone.

I have never done this because I am just not sure any of you really give a hoot to learn anything more about about me. Like what is my favorite milkshake flavor? That might be interesting.

It's peanut butter. There, you don't have to ask that one!

But if you do, send me an email at ponygirlridesagain@gmail.com, or leave your question in the comments section. I will compile a post of as many answers that I can. And hopefully, this will inspire some new thought processes and posts.

Or just be kind of fun.

Until then, go with this thought.
It is almost the weekend!

Woo-hoo!

p.s no deadline on the questions. As soon as this slump is over, I promise I'll get to them!

  1. Peanut butter milkshakes? Seriously? Never heard of such a thing... sounds fattening!!!

    OK, I'll have a go:

What is your very favourite food in the whole world?

If you could go anywhere in the world for a holiday, where would you go, and why?

I have a million more questions, but they can wait til we actually meet up one day!

    :-)

  2. PS Wish I had writers/bloggers block occasionally. I think I have enough material for the next six months... it would mean way less time on the computer!!!

  8. Maybe corney questions but here goes!

    What was your first pet?

How old were you when you discovered you loved horses and couldn't live without them?

  9. If you and MyBoy could spend 7 days riding any trail in the western USA, which one or where would it be?

  11. Oh goodness! The questions!! My sister loves questions! But usually she is the one to ask the questions!
I don't need to ask any questions, since you are my sister. But can't wait to read everyone's questions, and read the results!!

  13. I hear ya about the writer's block - I've been stuck with that since before Xmas!!

    Ok - some questions eh?

What are your top 5 favourite books?

Do you like to travel? If yes, where have you been and where would you like to go?

Do you enjoy your work? If you could pick any career, would you do what you are doing now, or would you pick something else?

How is that for questions...??? ;-)

  15. Love the idea - "Ask Pony Girl" - wonderful!

Ok, here is a question for you:

If I ever realize my dream of creating an Equestrian Park on our farm, and I finallly organize a "blogging friends" ride in Pennsylvania some summer, could you and Paint Girl join in? I think it would be so great if blogger friends could all ride together. We probably wouldn't all be on our own ponies, but it still would be fun! There's a question for you, Pony Girl!!!

Feel better soon - I, too, am fighting a cold and I am in "sunny(chilly) Florida"!

  17. What is your favorite pair of shoes...the pair you reach for first? And, why?

  18. Great idea! Looks like you already have a lot of questions, but here's my two cents worth:

What photography experience do you have, if any? Have you ever considered or wanted to do it professionally? What are your favorite photography subjects?

Why did you start this blog and what were your goals with it? Do you feel you've achieved them?

  19. I don't have any questions, but when I get stuck I read other blogs. You guys inspire me to take better photos and to tell good stories. Also I have a lot of old photos to scan in and of course they have a story to go with them. My sister got a thing to scan in slides and negatives. I need to get me one of those.

  20. I got one: What is your ONE (maybe outrageous) horse-related dream?
Mine is (or used to be I should say) competing in professional Show Jumping. A more reasonable one for me now is competing in Dressage with my Maria.

  21. Hey, great post! Also thanks for the comment on my blog. I have a question for you :)

    1. What made you want to do western instead of english?

I hope you feel better and those Peanut Butter milkshakes sound very interesting ;)

  22. Interesting idea…when I first discovered your blog, I read pretty much the whole thing. If you'd posed this during that time, I would've submitted about 20 questions! But for now I'll just pick one:

What animal (besides horses) in your life has touched you the most? Made the biggest impact on you?

Looking forward to this post, I saw a lot of great questions above!

  23. I hope you are feeling better soon. Total sympathy as I am also fighting a cold (and mucking out three horses every day!) I will be very interested to see the answers to the above questions, sooo
If your house was on fire, what would you rush in to save?

  24. Hope you feel better soon. My questions are: Do you have a list of names for future horses, dogs, or cats that you may come to own? (and) Did "My Boy" have a different name before you came to know him?

  25. I've been stumped lately, too. I enjoy blogging because I like to talk horse. Where I rode, what we did, who I rode with, pictures. Horse, Horse, Horse. Well with snow, snow, and more snow I ain't getting enough horse time. So I talk about the weather and post old pictures... lots of excitement. Good idea, PG. Hope it helps your block.

How many states have your traveled to? I know it's lame, but it is something I have always kept track of & now my kids do. And no, I haven't hit 50 yet, but I'm in the last decade!

  26. My question is...which one of these would you rather follow the Desert Rose through on horseback...and why???
    A desert wind storm
    A swift river
    A snow covered trail

  27. I'm just loving these questions, everyone! Now I feel like I have a lot to write about! :) Keep 'em coming!

  28. What is the most memorable dream you've ever had? Have you ever had a reoccurring dream or how about this one....have you ever been dreaming a great dream, been awaken and went back to sleep and continued the same dream? Do you listen to your subconscious dreams or believe they don't mean a thing about where you are in life, hopes, desires or struggles? For an example: I've had the reoccurring dream that I can fly...sometimes I'm soaring high and enjoying it and other times I'm weaving back and forth between electricity lines getting zapped and it really hurts! I have no clue what they mean? Sometimes I have to flap my arms really hard to get off the ground and other times I just glide with hardly an effort at all. Do you ever have horse dreams riding Your Boy or other horses? Hope you feel better soon!

  29. If you ever move to Star's Hollow I'll go with you! I LOVE that town too. You can walk everywhere and it's so quaint. I always love the first snowfall like Loralai. Is that how it's spelled? I am fighting off my second cold in a ROW. I had 3 good days and then got sick again.
I don't know about the questions, maybe just exactly WHAT you have against mayonnaise. Why do you hate it so, what did it ever do to you? Just kiddin!!!

  30. What is your dream for the future?

  31. I'm having a block of my own. Must be goin' around!

    Okay, my question....

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

  32. Here's one for you: did you ever have a horse you are sorry you parted with? Have you ever seen/know a horse that you didn't buy, and were always sorry you didn't?

  33. No question - just a comment that my daughter and I have spent many a happy afternoon with Lorelei and Rory. Don't you wish they would bring back that series? Or at least do a one time movie to satisfy us about what happened after the last episode.

  34. If there was one thing you could change what would it be? Besides not having writers block, that is.

  35. Wow! Alot of good questions!! Here's mine! Who is the one person in your life that has infuenced you the most in what kind of person you have become?? One more.. If you could spend one more hour with one person that has gone to be with the angels who would that person be?? Hay, that would be a good one for my blog!! I just don't seem to have enough time to sit and compute!! Can't wait to read all your answers!!

  36. Peanut butter? I always knew you were kinda strange. (I think that's why I like you!) No questions here. I'm feeling slumpy myself.

  37. I haven't commented before but sure do enjoy reading other bloggers posts. I too find that when I'm blocked, reading others' helps. So many questions have been asked already so if this is a repeat, sorry. This may seem a bit mormid, but I've lost a number of people in my life lately and may loose another who is close to me so this is why the question. "If you could go back and talk to someone that you've lost, who would it be and what is it that you need to say to them"

  38. Oh is it too late? I just saw this post! Look what happens when I do not blog in a few days! let's see, my questions are the following: What song would sing at Kareoke? Do you like the Bee Gees? And what is the grossest food you've ever eaten? Oh, one more (horse-related): What was the best trail ride of your life?

    ReplyDelete
  39. What a great idea! I get writer's block all the time, PG. That's when I just post photos. lol! I love Sunday Stills, Macro Monday and Wordless Wednesday. That gets me out of trying to figure out what to say at least days every week!

    Let's see.....questions for you.

1)What collections do you have and which are your favorite?

2)What are your favorite things to take on a trail ride.

3)Do you like to ride the trails by yourself, just you and MB?

4)If money were no object what brand of saddle would you buy?

5)What is one of your pet peeves?

6)If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

7)If you had to live on an island for one month and could only take 5 belongings with you, what would they be?

    8)Tea or Coffee?

9)Can you ride bareback while trotting? Cantering?

10)What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you while horseback riding (besides the crazy wild monkey experience. lol!)

Hopefully your writer's block problem will be solved now with all these questions.

    Feel better soon!
