I had a busy weekend with some of my family. We attended some fall festivals and flea markets.
The morning weather was chilly, yet by the afternoon the sun popped out. As you can tell, we were being blinded here!
Leave it to Dusty Devoe to find a horse to pet! The first flea market was in a horse arena/barn. They had apple cider, pumpkins, lots of handmade and vintage goods....and ponies. How perfect!I got these unique sheep tea light holders there. My mom and I each got one. The tea lights burning in them are the little flameless ones.
I love fall decor! It even rivals Christmas decor in my book!
My mom bought a carved out pumpkin full of rosehips. We also got scoops of a rosehip potpourri....delightfully autumn!
We hit a church rummage sale in final last hour....the "fill up a grocery bag with as much as you can for $2" hour! I found this book, Rascal, which I remember reading as a preteen. And an old bottle.
I also picked up an old picture frame, a weathered pink short-sleeved sweatshirt, a paper journal, and an old college typewriting textbook. Definitely obsolete. Interestingly, I loved some of the sample paragraphs for the typing lessons and I will share some of them with you on "typewriter Tuesdays" starting next week!
I also got to photograph an old classic truck for a friend of my parents. This was a fun shot I took of me in the side mirror.
I was wearing my pink horsey rain boots in anticipation of a sloshy day, but look at that blue sky behind me!That was only part of my fun weekend. I'll share more in my next post....
Lots of goodies! Oh, you make me miss rosehip all the way out here in West Africa! My grandparents were always out collecting and drying rosehip...

ReplyDeleteI am also strangely excited about your Typewriter Tuesdays. Don't you love those black vintage typewriters? This past weekend I went to a few antique shops. There are very weird/beautiful/beguiling/freaky things in antique shops!!!!!

ReplyDeleteTyping Tuesdays, you say? I despised typing class in high school. My female teacher had a crush on one of the high school boys and was always sidling up to his desk and leaning over him with her low cut blouses. gah! She mostly ignored me and the other girls in the class and I ended up dropping out after the first few months.
I still learned how to type....al on my own....on a computer. hah!

Great pics PG! You got some shots I didn't even think about. I'll have to catch up to your photographic brilliance when my new camera comes. Is it still coming? You wanted to know why you looked so short in the pic on my post. I think we were standing on a slope because I was wearing flat boots. I actually commented about that very thing with the picture but took it out because it was sort of random and didn't fit with the rest of the post. So now you know! I had loads of fun and hope we can do the same for x-mas. There are a couple things coming up, I'll give you the dates later. Have a good day tomorrow!
