There is something so special about a baby horse. Of course I had my Nikon and snapped a hundred photos, a least! Here are some of my favorites. I'll let Paint Girl tell you in her blog how amazing her visit was that day, but I hope these pictures show some of the special moments.
Baby feet.
Stuck. (not really!)
Liberty is in need of a trip to the beauty salon. Hopefully she'll find her special person soon. I wish My Boy needed a sister, but it's not in the cards for me right now.
Paint Girl's OH~ future Mustang whisperer?
Beautiful Liberty. Eleven years wild. I wonder what thoughts roam between those ears.....
Peek-a-boo! Don't you just love those fuzzy teddy bear ears? I mean, now do you see why this baby was so hard to resist?
Chance loves to give kisses!
Chance, meet clover. (Lovin' those wonky whiskers!)
Are you my mother?
A kind, gentle eye.
I think this little filly has a curious, calm nature, but I think she's got a little spunk in her, too! Paint Girl is going to have a good challenge and a lot of fun raising this little princess.
And I am lucky to have my first baby horse to photograph~ can't wait to get her cavorting around her new pasture!
aren't you glad you have a goooood camera..!
ReplyDeleteThose are really wonderful shots.
They will look lovely in a special album for your sis someday!!
Wow, absolutely gorgeous! Brings back some memories of when I adopted my mustang filly although she was a little older (a yearling) So exctiting for your sis!! Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Good luck to your sister!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I really like the one of your sister and her new baby. I can't wait to see some action shots.
ReplyDeleteahhh, what a sweet baby! i hope mama mustang finds a perfect loving home...kudos to paint girl and what beautiful pics!
ReplyDeleteShe's irresistible, and easy to see why Paint Girl feel head over heels in love with her! I hope Liberty finds a good home too... in spite of her rangy look, I think she's gorgeous. Wish we could afford a 4th horse, but I already freaked hubby out this past weekend when I told him I want another dog... a dal, which would be our 4th. I miss the dal I had years ago!
ReplyDeleteOh! She is beautiful! And so are your photos :)

She is so darned cute! Paint Girl is lucky to have a professional photographer around to catch these first meetings! You should charge her, lol! Oh, that's right, you are getting free board for your Boy! Fair trade I'd say.
ReplyDeleteI just love all the baby pictures you took! You sure have a way with taking pictures!!
ReplyDeleteMy baby is absolutely adorable, and did I tell you that I am in love?
What wonderful pictures! Liberty sure is a beauty. I wish I could have her too. She will find a loving home soon. I think Paint Girl is smitten!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful and you got some great shots! I love those little curls in her forelock - she's a doll!
ReplyDeleteAmazing pics...adorable filly. I can already see how special she is. I love the shot with the clover and the nostrils. Happy to know she is going to a good home.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! Way to capture such a fun and special day for them!
ReplyDeletePony Girl, you got some amazing photos there! You really caught the moments. You also caught the hearts of those horses--makes me fall in love with both of them, too.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...you captured the mare and wonderful filly, so neatly!

How exciting ...for the both of you!!!

ReplyDeleteSo...how much MONEY would Your Boy need to adopt liberty as his Sister???
ReplyDeleteLuv,
AJ
Thanks for sharing pix. I hope Liberty finds a home too. After 11 years of being wild, it's gonna take some patience.

The pictures are great!!! I love the one of Liberty straight on.. Can't wait to see her grow through your lens! Your sis will be such a good mommy to Chance, and I have a feeling you'll be a good aunt too!!
ReplyDeleteWow... wonderful shots and that GREEN in the background makes me the very same colour with envy!!!
ReplyDeleteWill try and pop over to Paint Girls soon to see what the fuss is about...

PG- you got some amazing photos! I wish you could come over and photograph my little girl. Chance looks adorable!!
ReplyDeleteOh, soooo cute. Love those little baby hooves. Yes, momma looks like she could use a spa day. But she is a beautiful mare all the same. Hope she finds a wonderful home.
ReplyDeleteLib has her special home...way up north next to the Canadian border! They're waiting for weaning, too...
ReplyDeleteThe photos are wonderful. As always.
Just great photos! What a gorgeous little filly...she is going to be beautiful. I also love the mare's face -- captivating.
ReplyDeleteYou sure did capture the moments I'd say....great job! I love how they both have the white on the left side of their necks! I do hope Liberty can be adopted too...if I didn't already have six, I'd take her.
ReplyDeleteI am so very excited for your sister! And yes, babies are so much fun!! And those nears, with their fuzz and those little muzzles with their fuzz....oh I just love 'em. You got some really wonderful pictures. I love the clover one!!! So cute. I wish someone would take pictures of me and my babies. You did a great job. And I can't wait to see what color Chance turns out to be!! Her mother is really calm and easy going for being 11 years wild. I was impressed with how OH was handling her and she wasn't flipping out. Very cool!!
ReplyDeleteHey! These are great! Family pictures! They are lovely
ReplyDeleteO.M.G. She is just the most precious little girl!!!! Your pics are fabulous, really captured her spirit well. Paint Girl is going to have the time of her life with that little one. Since bringing my Piper home from the PMU rescue when she was just 1 year old there hasn't been a day that I haven't thanked my lucky stars for her. :)
ReplyDeleteI finally got to see these photos! They are fantastic! What is your Boy going to say about the new little one? I bet he will be jealous of his mommy taking so many baby pictures. Still, your Boy's baby pictures were soooo adorable.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!! I really enjoyed them!
ReplyDeleteOh my, but she is ADORABLE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my god - so cute. I love foals - they're so utterly irresistable!
ReplyDeleteThese are nice photos. I love horses and usually the people that own them are nice too.
