There have been some great responses to my sister's dilemma with her dog Sadie. I think she has contacted some of you and I know she greatly appreciated all the advice. Needless to say, I learned some interesting things about blue merles and dog behavior that I didn't know!
I had also read my friend's post over at Adventures of a Horse Crazed Mind, about a similar situation she is going through with her horse Shaunti. Tough, tough, tough.... brought out my tears.....my heart goes out to her. You know, I read a quote in a magazine tonight. It was a response by Dave Matthews in regards to the death of one of his band mates last month. It was, "It's easier to leave than be left." I think that is so true. So many emotions center around letting something or someone go.
For now, I am curled up on the couch with a hot mug of peach tea, a box of Cheez-Its, and the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy. It's almost the weekend.....sigh (with relief.)
Yay! Grey's started tonight, can't wait to watch it :)
ReplyDeleteI hope Paint Girl has luck with all the tips, that's a hard spot to be in.
As for you miss Pony Girl, I thought of you today when I was reading the Sept. "Western Horseman". There's an article in their (going to be a series I think) that made me think of your post on catching the big pill. Can't remember the name of the trainer it featured but I thought you'd like her. I'll check it out tomorrow at work (left the mag there)
As for me, I'm just hoping to be healthy enough to enjoy some "pony time" before the weather turns to poo.
Darn head cold has me laid out when I'm not at work :(
Good luck with the dog- hard to decide but sometimes it is like a bad boyfriend- you just gotta cut your losses and get out- fast.
ReplyDeleteWas it just me or was Grey's a let down? I just wasn't into the whole couples in separate limos getting in a car wreck story line.
ReplyDeleteLove the quote.
Love your blog! Course I am partial to anyone into horses.
ReplyDeleteFun place!
Thank you Pony Girl, I cant tell you how awesome all my blog friends have been...really, it is amazing! Anyone that ever questions that the internet can be used for good things, need only check out the support offered by people like you! I am sure that Paint Girl feels the same way right now. I wish her the best of luck. Let us know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteWe do need a nice Fall day, dont we!? It has been so dreary, rainy and gray here in the Pacific Northwest. I love fall because it makes you want to snuggle up in a blanket, drink tea (I will take peppermint over peach, thank you! lol) and read a good book or watch a good show. I will be doing a book review today on my blog, on the one that kept me warm and bundled yesterday. But this weather is getting long in the tooth and we need some sunshine! Lets make it happen! With a will there is a way... right? LOL
Love the new look!! These are good colors!
ReplyDeleteJust stopped by to say howdy and look at the gorgeous pics!
I would also like to thank everyone for their input on my dog Sadie. It made me really realize I needed to talk to someone with experience with aggressive dogs.
ReplyDeleteWe will keep everyone posted on how things go.
Again, thank you! You are all wonderful!
Paint Girl and Sadie
Oh scoot over!! I can't wait untill the leaves change. Of course then I would like to skip past winter! I don't like the cold!!
ReplyDeleteYes it easier to leave than be left behind for sure. But that is what memories are for. We just have to hold firm that whoever left is in a better place!
UPDATE--- PAINT GIRL YOU AND I HAVE TO PUT OUR HEADS TOGETHER MORE OFTEN!!! I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT I GOT SUNSHINE!!!!!!! SEE, I TOLD YOU THAT WHERE THERES A WILL THERE'S A WAY!! lol
ReplyDeleteI thought Grey's was depressing - hope the whole season isn't going to be that way. Hope your weekend is FULL of SUNSHINE!
ReplyDeleteIt's been sunshine so far.....yeah!
ReplyDeleteI thought Grey's was interesting,, but the storyline was a little lame. I loved the first two (?) seasons. Last season, it lost me a little and I think I skipped many episodes. But I thought I'd give this season a try.
