What's Going On

I wish I was in that field right now. Because when I was there, I didn't know half the things I know today, the things that are recently causing me stress. Things in my life, and in the lives of those around me. That picture was taken last Saturday. In four short days, a lot has happened.

As a result, I will not be around very much. Or, as much as I usually am. I have a lot going on and for the first time in a long time, there is not as much time for blogging.

First, I am staying in a nice big house with these two charges. I lived with these cats for two years, as their owner and I were roommates, over 6 years ago.

This one is shy and hides from strangers, but on day one she snuck out from behind the couch, but watches me with caution. I think she remembers my voice.

This one is not shy. He is the life of the party. He is also lazy, moody, and friendly.

It is hot here. I am not used to this kind of heat, my place stays very cool compared to this. I can barely stand to be next to my laptop, as it's heat is just contributing to the overall misery.

So I have been out on the beautiful deck with a view, enjoying the balmy breeze and trying to finish this book, My Sister's Keeper. A friend loaned it to me around the holidays, because the movie is coming out at the end of June and she wants me to see it with her. It's an amazing read but also difficult to get through because of the nature of the material.

The moon is out in the early evening sky. It looks peaceful. I wish I felt peaceful. I just feel tired and stressed. But things will look up, they always do.

Although I'm not wanting to go anywhere near an oven right now, I'm going to make some pasta to go with this cold fried chicken and strawberries and vino.

Or maybe just the cold fried chicken and strawberries will do.

And the vino. One can't forget the vino!
