Especially since most of my future goals include horses in some way or form. It just makes the most sense! When/why are you leaving AK? I met my husband and the first thing he told me (after showing me a poloroid of his two Aussie Sheps he had along on his trip) was he hoped someday to get back to horses and get a mare so he could raise a baby horse....it's a dream I could back 100 percent. Hopefully next year, when he retires and we leave AK, we can get started on it. He gave me a lovely saddle for Christmas one year, too. So remember, a horse man will understand so much more about you that a non-horse one, who might just be incredibly tolerant. I'll take the former.....thank God!Julie in AKnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8237219937417683108.post-37922657112075013832009-05-23T12:28:20.752-07:002009-05-23T12:28:20.752-07:00All you can do is keep scanning the horizon...funn...All you can do is keep scanning the horizon...funny story! I one time dated a guy who told me he could ride...and of course, about an hour into our three-hour ride, he admitted he couldn't! I had figured that out of course, so we took an extra-long one just to punish him for not being truthful. He did keep riding after that, though.Julie in AKnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8237219937417683108.post-73785285073763416992009-05-22T19:20:42.480-07:002009-05-22T19:20:42.480-07:00A definite "No" on that one. My friend's husband has no interest in horses and it's so much harder that way....it would be nice to have a guy that has the same interest in them as you do. I'm seeing many people who are allergic to horses these days and amazed that I never heard of it before I had horses! LOL! I cannot say discount every guy you meet though, because my hubby had never ridden and loves it! He was a college football player and his knees are shot so he can ride instead of maybe doing other sport related things! There are many converts too! I got tickled at your mom's comment too!
